When the Moon Speaks Through Our Dreams
Have you ever had one of those nights where your dreams are so vivid that you wake up thinking, What the heck was THAT?
I certainly have.
And sometimes, especially around a Full Moon, our dream world can feel a little louder.
Full Moons are traditionally a time of illumination and culmination. They can bring emotions, thoughts, and things we've been carrying beneath the surface into our awareness. Add a lunar eclipse and the energy can feel even more intense. This Full Moon is in Pisces, a water sign associated with intuition, emotions, imagination, dreams, and the parts of ourselves that aren't always easy to put into words.
So if your dreams have been particularly vivid lately, it might be worth paying attention.
That doesn't mean every strange dream is a cosmic message. Sometimes a dream is simply your brain processing the events of your day. But dreams can also give our subconscious a way to bring something to our attention that we haven't quite acknowledged while we're awake.
And sometimes the message isn't in the literal story.
For example, dreams involving death and rebirth ... which were the dreams I personally was experiencing last night; don't necessarily mean something—or someone—is going to die. Symbolically, death can represent an ending, while rebirth can represent transformation, a new perspective, or stepping into something different.
So how do we interpret these dreams?
Start with how you felt.
The emotion you woke up with may tell you more than the actual storyline. Were you afraid? Relieved? Excited? Grieving? Peaceful?
Then look at your waking life.
What is changing, ending, beginning, or asking for your attention right now? Sometimes the connection becomes much clearer when we stop looking at the dream as a prediction and start looking at it as a reflection.
And finally, don't force an interpretation.
Write down what you remember. Sit with it for a little while. Let your intuition have a say. You may understand the meaning immediately—or it may make sense a few days from now.
This Pisces Full Moon and lunar eclipse invite us to listen a little more closely to that quieter inner voice.
Maybe your dreams aren't telling you what's going to happen.
Maybe they're simply helping you notice what is already happening within you.
And sometimes, that's the message we needed all along.
